Best path to 10 in Empathy
Oct 26th, 2009 by Draznar

Empathy is hard to grind, since it is largely quest driven. Therefore it is best to start on these at a early level and ensure your complete these deeds before moving on.

  1. Bree-land Adventurer – Bree-Land – Complete 15 Quests
  2. Life of a Bounder (Advanced) – Shire – Complete 40 Quests
  3. Of Glories Long Past – North Downs – Complete 15 Quests
  4. Peril of the Mountains (Advanced) – Misty Mountains – Complete 20 Quests
  5. Marching into Shadow (Final) – Angmar – Complete 30 Quests – +2 to Empathy
  6. Forochel Survivor – Forochel – Complete 20 Quests
  7. Silent and Restless (Final) – Eregion – Complete 60 Quests
  8. Exemplar of the Central Levels – Moria Central Halls – Complete 60 Quests
  9. Warrior of the Shadows – Moria Lower Deeps – Complete 40 Quests

The other options are:

  • The Dead that Live (Advanced) – Barad Gularan – Kill 120 Dead
  • Eyes of the Enemy – Fil Gashan – Kill 160 Orcs
  • Beasts of the Broken Stair – Grand Stairs – Kill 120 Wargs
  • Award of Hobbit Virtue – Hobbit Rep Item – Rank 3 Mathom Society

Quick method for The Dead that Live: If you have done thru book 12 in volume 1, there is a way to solo the BG undead deed. Go to the reflecting pool in Aughaire & pick the quest that you meet Sara Oakheart inside BG. Do just the first part of this quest, which you & Sara will kill 12 or so undead. Leave the instance before she goes into the throne room. If you go back right after this it will pick right back up where you left off, this is why book 12 is important. From the reflecting pool, you start the book 12 instance that takes you inside Carn Dum. Soon as you load in, just turn around & head out the door, this will send you back to Aughaire & reset the book 9 instance. Just rinse & repeat until the BG undead deed is done. The 5 instances/hour rule applies.

Best path to 10 in Valour
Oct 5th, 2009 by Draznar

Looking at the path to getting your virtue to 10, there are multiple paths. Below is one that is least time consuming. If possible it is always best to work on these while you still get experience. Thanks to Wiki over at OTG for this path.

  • Goblin Slayer (Advanced) – Shire – Kill 60 Goblins ~35 minutes
  • Orc Slayer (Advanced) – Bree-Land – Kill 60 Orcs ~35 minutes
  • Orc Slayer (Advanced) – Lone-Lands – Kill 120 Orcs ~35 minutes
  • Goblin Slayer (Advanced) – Lone-Lands – Kill 120 Goblins ~35 minutes
  • Worm Slayer (Advanced) – Trollshaws – Kill 180 Worms ~90 minutes
  • City of the Lord and Lady – Lothlorien (Exploration) ~15 minutes
  • Worm Slayer – Moria – Kill 240 Worms (+2 to Valour) ~90 minutes
  • The Foundations of Stone – Moria Lower (Exploration) ~20 minutes
  • Spider Slayer – Moria – Kill 240 Spiders ~60 minutes (in Skumfil)

Deed / Virtue Check Sheet

Thanks to a sugestion from Sneeze, I’ve updated the Word Doc now to be able to add the name of the character. While I though of making the checkboxes clickable, I seemed to have forgotten to allow you to enter your charaters name.
